The Alike Cooper Band is a tribute to the outstanding phenomena that is Alice Cooper based in London UK! Most people have heard of Alice Cooper, the audacious, shocking, innovative Alice Cooper who changed the course of Rock Music forever! Belive it or not it is the truth!

Alice Cooper was born Vincent Furnier, the son of a preacher in Phoenix, Arizona.

His first band, the Earwigs, formed in 1965, moved to LA and re-christened themselves 'The Spiders' then 'Nazz'. Shortly after the Alice Cooper band materialised. The name was taken from a 17th century witch.

Frank Zappa signed the band to his 'Straight' label for which they recorded 3 albums.

After moving to Warner Brothers Records who reissued the third album 'Love it to Death' things started to happen in a big way.

With the release of the 'Killer' album British record buyers put the band in the UK charts for the first time. Then in 1972 the single, School's Out, (no. 1 in the UK) and the album (no. 4 in the UK) put Alice Cooper into just about every chart worldwide.

Then in 1975, the 'Welcome to My Nightmare' album came along with the hits that brought Theatre Rock into being. What a fantastic album!

The songs School's Out and Poison are the biggest rock anthems of all time.

Alice Cooper designed the rock generations with shock theatrics that are now in existence with the bands you name it or try to do theatre rock on stage.

Take a good look at the rock bands you see around you today. Many of those who we think of as outrageous, shocking and ground breaking owe more than a little to Alice Cooper!
