With
the release of the 'Killer' album British record buyers put the
band in the UK charts for the first time. Then
in 1972 the single, School's Out, (no. 1 in the UK) and the album
(no. 4 in the UK) put Alice Cooper into just about every chart
worldwide.
Then in 1975, the 'Welcome
to My Nightmare' album came along with the hits that brought Theatre
Rock into being. What a fantastic album!
The
songs School's Out and Poison are the biggest rock anthems of
all time.
Alice
Cooper designed the rock generations with shock theatrics that
are now in existence with the bands you name it or try to do theatre
rock on stage.
Take
a good look at the rock bands you see around you today. Many of
those who we think of as outrageous, shocking and ground breaking
owe more than a little to Alice Cooper!
