Christmas Show 23/12/00 - Standard!

It was saturday December 23rd 2000 and the posters were adorning the walls of the Standard Music Venue in Walthamstow, London welcomed to your Alice's Christmas Party Nightmare...

"Alice, Alice", not the Alice, not quite but, it's the next best thing.

The 'Alike Cooper Show' brought back the nightmare with their unique brand of Rock Theatre as a tribute to the father of Theatre Rock, the legendary 'Alice Cooper'!

'Alice Cooper' the creator of Rock Theatre and it was performed by the Alike Cooper Tribute band that Christmas night!

These songs have been played by Alice Cooper from generation to generation.

Alice Cooper who created the fashion trends, a higher standard of teenage rebellion, transmitted a message to the world through his rock music's first foremost influential legendary statesman of outrage which is far beyond reproach.

Take a look around you at what passes for rock 'n roll these days and you will agree that any act worth its weight in rock 'n roll, makeup, theatrics and in-your-face kick-ass punk attitude owes more than a passing nod of respect in the direction of Alice Cooper!

The evening at the Standard began with "Candy Carnage" who were obviously out of their depth on this bill with only polite applause comming from their girlfriends at the front ('nuff said'). Next up are "Konkrete" who on any other night could have been the headline band with a good tight set.

Then it was time for the main course on tonight's menu as the band and the nightmare begins with the classic : "Welcome to my Nightmare"!

As a hooded figure weaves his way through the audience to the stage the Psycho Sisters make their first appearance of the night, being the figment of Alice's nightmare.

Hit after hit follows, showing that these guys really do know what they were doing as the audience gets into the party atmosphere.

Steven, or should I say Steven's head, is told a bedtime story, and as his conscience talks back to him his brain goes into overload.

With Steven and Dwight Fry the Theatrics began when the Psycho Sisters & Dr Rock characters in a blood stained coat drag came on stage!

The Alike Cooper Show performed a great selection of what Alice Cooper has created!

The ethos is and always will be:

(Alike Cooper words)!

'If it ain't fun, it is not worth doing it!'

"The best thing of all is being up there, on stage, honouring the classical rock tunes of Alice Cooper!'

But don't take my word for it...

Alice himself would say the same about what you are gonna feel, yes of course 'right at home'...

If you are not scared, you're already dead!

Check it out this outrageous tribute stage show!

ROCK THEATRE at its best!!!!

Welcome to your Nightmare....

Rock On!
